I feel so annoyed that people feel the need to make fun of others for being on a diet or working out on a daily basis.

My friends asked me if I wanted to go to Rita’s tonight to get water ice, and I said no because I’m on a pretty strict meal plan this week. Granted, it’s only a week, but I really want to stick to it. And of course, they all  make fun of me for it and act as if it’s no big deal. Well, for me it is. Like, just because I want my body to be in the best shape it can doesn’t mean that you have to make fun of me for it. And just because I have self control over what I eat and you don’t doesn’t mean you can make fun of me for it. How is it a bad thing that I want to look good and have my body be the best that it can be?  It’s not. Not to mention, it’s really nobody’s business in the first place. And saying “yeah, like YOU really need to be on a diet,” doesn’t make me feel any better. I’ve worked hard to get into the habit of eating right over the past few weeks, and I’m proud of myself for it. And I really don’t need people pressuring me into eating crap; as if I don’t feel enough temptation in the first place. Ugh.

Eating right is nothing to be ashamed of, and don’t let anyone tell you that it is.
